Would you like to grow a few inches taller naturally? Unless you’re 6′ 6″, anyone would love to gain a few inches to their height.
Then it is time to involve yourself in some exercises to grow taller.
These exercises are not some mystical yoga magic but exercises based upon sound logical and scientific methods.
Do exercises to grow taller actually work?
Yes they do! Unbelievable, suspicious, and borderline ludicrous to think that somebody past adolescence can grow taller. For actual proof, check out this actual case by a newspaper journalist. She used almost the same methods outlined in the step by step eBook: Grow Taller 4 Idiots to obtain almost 2 inches!
Stretching is one of the most basic exercises to grow taller. This method might seem like common sense and it is. Not only does stretching alleviate tight muscles and stiff joints, it will help you improve your physical performance, posture and help you get taller. Stretches include: bow down stretching, stretching while standing, wall-assisted stretches, toe touches, standing twists, car stretch, cobra stretch, the bridge, the table, super stretch, and more.
Hanging will help you get taller by stretching out your spine and joints. When you wake up in the morning, you are always a little taller than late in the afternoon because your spine has been extended while asleep. As you function throughout the day, gravity compresses it back down. Hanging will help maintain the extended state of the spine so that it compresses less as the day goes by.
There are two main ways to go about hanging. The easiest and most convenient way is to use a chinup bar and dead hang from it. Ideally, you’d want to do 10~15 sets of 15~20 seconds each for at least 30 minutes a week. Twisting from side to side and lateral leg raises will also help, but avoid swinging your body.
The second way is to buy an inversion table, strap your ankles down, and hang upside down. This is more effective than the chinup bar but will be more inconvenient.
THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE: Best tool for hanging
AND THE: Best inversion tables
Yoga is an excellent way to instantly gain height because it helps with posture and will make you stand up straighter. The stretches and poses inherent in yoga are also some of the key techniques to growing taller. Some of the more important ones are: mountain poses, downward facing dog, simple supported backbends, and simple reclining twists.
4) Swimming and other sports
Ever notice how athletes are just taller than non-athletes? This could be because taller people gravitate towards and excel at certain sports.
But it is also true that playing certain sports from when you are young will help you grow taller than if you did not play sports.
That is because sports inherently encompass all the stretching, exercises, and nutrition necessary for optimal growth.
Out of all the sports, swimming is one of the best to become taller. This is because water negates the gravity compression of the spine and also because having your head below your heart sends better blood flow to the thyroid glands which aids in the production of growth hormones.
Specifically, the breast stroke movement stretches the body in an ideal way to gain height. This is because you kick with your legs and stretch out with your arms at the same time in opposite directions.
Exercise not only makes you fitter, stronger, and stretches your muscles and skeletal system, but it also stimulates your pituitary glands to produce more HGH. It is widely recognized that exercise stimulates the natural production of HGH but nobody knows why. Just know that it is true and let’s go do some yoga!
